Texas is widely regarded as the preferred home for producing America’s finest versions of Spain’s famed Tempranillo wines. Inwood produces blended Tempranillo in the classic tradition of the northern Spanish river valleys, as well as the newer modern varietal Tempranillos. Our Cornelious wines are made in the modern single-varietal style, using only Tempranillo grapes grown in the Texas High Plains along the Texas-New Mexico border. This wine stands in stark contrast to our more structured and muscular Tempranillo-Cabernet blend, offering soft, luxuriant tannins that backstop the ultra-velvety texture that has become the signature of Cornelious. Bold red fruit flavors of black cherry, complemented with a hint of chocolaty complexity, position this 100% Tempranillo wine as a world-class competitor to Spain’s best modern Tempranillos. Lower tannins allow immediate enjoyment now through 2025.
