2017 Mericana
By diligently employing strategic yield reductions and advanced vineyard technologies, Inwood produces a widely contrasting lineup of Cabernet Sauvignon wines, ranging from the Magellan, the least-ripe but longest-aging Pauillac style, to the Mericana, the ripest and earliest drinking Napa style. In late harvest years, we exploit the extra ripening time on the vine to release our Mericana, with its soft, round degraded tannins, and the ultra-ripe “fruit bomb” flavor characteristics commonly associated with premium California wines. The classic perfume and rounder, thicker textures allow for early enjoyment alongside mid-term cellaring potential.
