Magnus 2011
The low harvest tonnage rate of only 0.29 tons per acre – just one or two clusters per vine and roughly 1/10 the normal harvest rate of the highest quality winegrowing regions worldwide – produces grapes that boast extraordinary phenolics (flavor components), intensity, and flavor density. These high marks derive from the optimized nutrition the “mother vine” is able to deliver to the berries as a direct result of our discerning application of advanced vineyard techniques and strategic yield reductions. Magnus is our richest and most concentrated expression of Texas-grown Tempranillo blended with Cabernet in the classic Ribera style originating from northern Spain.
