Illumina Petite Sirah 2018

A thin-skinned hybrid originally from France, Petite Sirah thrives in warm, dry climates and has become a consistent performer for us in our Gillespie County vineyard, where it is farmed at 2 tons per acre. Always one of our earliest varieties off the vine, this vintage exhibits the emblematic ripe berry flavors and soft, well-rounded tannins that we have come to expect from this varietal. Abundantly fruit forward, showing notes of black raspberry and fresh blueberry, a hint of acidity adds brightness and complexity without overwhelming the soft mouthfeel of this highly palatable red.
